Lessons are held at Dr. Joe’s piano studio. Piano lessons in the student's home are additional cost and can be made only by special arrangement. .
Piano Studio Hours (starting August 23, 2010):
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Lesson Lengths
- 30 minutes (children & adults: beginning, early intermediate and intermediate levels )
- 45 minutes (accelerated beginners depending on age, some intermediate and advanced students)
- 60 minutes (late intermediate and advanced students)
The appropriate length of lesson will be discussed at an interview before lessons begin.

Tuition

Yearly Package Rates: for studentsbeginning BEFORE September 10, 2010, a package of 36 weekly lessons in a school year – August 23-June 9, 2011. The annual tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly payments due at the first lesson of each month.
For students beginning AFTER September 10, 2010, please call for a pro-rated package price.

Summer Lessons
During the summers, I offer both private lessons and accelerated introductory classes (4 students per class) for novice pianists.
Private Study: I encourage all of my students to continue lessons throughout the summer, though my summer schedule is quite different from the fall/winter/spring schedule. I also allow more flexibility in scheduling during the summers to accommodate family vacations and other activities. Payable on a per lesson basis. Cost to be announced.
Classes: During the month of July I offer several Quick Start Piano Classes™ for children and adults. Students make six months of progress in just two weeks of daily lessons. More information will be available in January 2011.

Interview Before Study:
Before piano study can commence, an interview must be held between the prospective student and me. If the student is a child, then at least one parent or guardian must be present.
The purpose of the interview is to determine suitability for piano study, ability level, learning abilities, and appropriate lesson lengths and time. If the student has had prior piano study, I will want to hear 2 or 3 of the most advanced pieces studied that can be played successfully from beginning to end. Students with prior study should also bring with them in any method books and assignment books that have been used.
All interviews are held in my Studio and there is no charge.

Studio Recitals/Master Classes:
Studio recitals are held at least twice a year at my studio. These often take the form of informal master classes where there is open discussion between the students and me and between the students and their peers. Parents are invited to come and participate also.
